The social action work of IEPC is developed
among the more vulnerable sectors of society:
children, elderly and indigenous populations.
Program areas are: Nutrition, Student
scholarships, Assistance for the elderly, and a
Daycare Center.
Reconciliation and Mission Program:
This program is facilitated by the Presbyterian
Church USA. It aims to insert young people into
other cultures to learn diverse ways of liturgy, worship, Christian vision, missionary practice and thereby deepen their spirituality and mission zeal.
Women's Pastoral Issues:
The theme that inspires this program is: "Growing together in the love of God". Goals are self awareness, creation of micro enterprises, evangelism in marginal communities and bonds of friendship.
Youth Ministry:
This program hopes to elevate youth participation in the life of the church and community via youth camps, theological reflection, bible study and participation in the social outreach of local congregations.
Biblical/Theological formation for Lay Leaders:
IEPC offers periodic courses of 1 - 2 week duration given at the IEPC office, the Latin American Bible Seminary or a local congregation. Themes such as "Faith and Theology", Christian Ethics, Biblical Images of Christ and Pastoral Counseling.
