Who We Are

We are a fraternity of churches whose unity lies
in diversity.

Each mission or congregation celebrates its faith
in Jesus Christ and translates its commitment to
God and neighbor in a creative way.

We consider the poor of our community, those
without regular economic income who try to
survive together with their families made up largely of children, to be the focus of our mission outreach It is with them that we create ties of solidarity.

We are an evangelical church that has inherited the basic principals of the reformation: salvation by grace, justification by faith and the authority of the Bible.  Nevertheless, we are open to frank and fraternal dialogue with other branches of Biblical theological thinking which edifies and nurtures our faith. Our theme: For the Glory of God United in Service encompasses the renewing spirit of Fraternity.

We are a Costa Rican church that proclaims the Gospel, reflecting on the practice and mission of the church in its respective social and political context in light of the word of God.  In this way, we respond with certainty and effectiveness to the urgent need for transformation of the community's form of living.

Following the teachings of Jesus, we believe in the integral salvation of individuals.  Our concern is to nurture, with the Word of God, the spiritual lives of believers and make available all human and material resources that help convert us into a healing community. All churches and missions of IEPC enjoy legal, organic and programmatic autonomy.
